Welcome to Luke Thoms' Hunting Holly.
Luke Thoms was born in Rock Island, IL where he was raised and has lived most of his life. The other part he lives (soon to be lived, thank God) in New Hampshire where he attends the pretentious prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH. Exeter, despite it's flaws, has formed him into the happy* boy/man/photographer he is today. Next fall he will be attending New York University in (you guessed it) New York, NY.
Luke was the Head Photographer at The Exonian(newspaper) as well as the PEAN (yearbook) at Exeter before he became a senior and was booted out because apparently he couldn't just stay another year taking photos. He is also currently an assistant teacher for Photography I at Exeter. His work has also been used by (paid and unpaid):
The Exeter Bullitin
www.exeter.edu (PEA's main website)
www.nhpr.org (New Hampshire Public Radio)
180 Publishing
Howard University's Alumni Magazine
LIMIT Magazine
Haute
And probably a few other places he can't remember at the moment...
So basically he's a photographer, and supposedly a pretty good one considering how many people bother him to take photos for them. Most of his work and expertise is journalistic, although he dabbles in portraiture and street photography from time to time. He has two parents, two siblings, two dogs, two computers and two cameras, all of which he loves about equally.
And just in case you were wondering, this website is named after Luke's canines Hunter and Holly.
*For the most part.
